Answers To Your Top Construction Questions.

The average time to build your dream custom home will typically be between 6 to 12 months, this is including the planning phase,  home design and permitting processes. Homes selected from our previously built plans will be closer to the 6-month time window. Custom homes can take as long as 12 months to complete.

The best option when building a custom home is to obtain a construction to permanent home loan from a local bank. This option allows the buyer to only pay closing cost once since the buyer must receive a construction loan and a mortgage. Typically, the buyer will have to place 20% down payment on the total project for this type of financing. For spec and semi-custom homes the buyer only must obtain a mortgage on the project before completion.

Wilmore Custom Homes will apply for and receive all appropriate permits necessary within the site’s jurisdiction for the construction and completion of your custom home. 

Once a month, the Wilmore Custom Home team hosts a progress meeting with our clients to discuss and schedule product selections along with product availability. At this meeting, we will also discuss current budgets and future variances that could impact planning. Wilmore Custom Homes ensures that our clients are always up-to-date and knowledgeable the status of where your custom home stands financially.
